The Photography
Epirus
Epirus is a mountainous region in the northwest of Greece and dominated in the west by the deep canyons and steep peeks of the Pindus Mountain range. It is also home to one of the deepest gorges in the world, Vikos Gorge, and is rich with waterfalls, rivers, and forests. In the ancient Greek world, it hosted two significant oracles: the Oracle of Dodona (sacred to Zeus and Dione) and the Oracle of Necromanteion (the entrance to the Underworld on the Acherontas River).
