About ‘The Veil’

This series is an exploration of the veil: a garment that has always intrigued me as both a practical tool and a cultural signal of purity, death, faith, or status. Whether it is worn in mourning, as a sacred garment, for fashion, or simply used as a protective barrier against the elements of wind, sand, or rain — the veil is a membrane that separates, a prism that distorts both the viewer and the viewed, and sets the wearer apart as something Other.
